Our Program

The Cobra Robotics Program is a K–12 STEM pathway serving students across the Peoria Unified School District and the greater Glendale community. We offer hands‑on robotics experiences for every age group—from introductory elementary programs to competitive middle school teams and our flagship high school program, FRC Team 498. At every level, students learn to design, build, program, and lead through real engineering challenges.
Our mentors come from a wide range of professional backgrounds across the Southwestern United States, giving students access to industry expertise and authentic technical guidance. As students progress through the program, they gain the skills and confidence to take on increasingly complex projects, culminating in the FIRST Robotics Competition, where Team 498 designs and builds a new robot each season to compete on a global stage.
Across all ages and teams, the Cobra Robotics Program is built on three core pillars that define who we are: being Known, Respected, and Sustainable. These values guide how we compete, how we mentor, and how we grow the next generation of STEM leaders.
